Every estimate shows an honest range. Air-fried? Half the grains? Add the detail and the numbers update. Details don’t use up another estimate.

Insights
One meal earns the day’s coin, with a rest day each week, and strong weeks earn badges. After at least three weeks of meals and weigh-ins, or five for women, Portion can suggest a better target. You decide whether to use it.
Water
On Apple Watch, each click of the Digital Crown adds a bottle and the water rises. It logs when you stop turning, and turning back first takes it out. On iPhone, the same jug moves as you tilt.
Drag or scroll the crown on the watch, or tap the button.

No ads, and we never sell your data. Your meals live on your phone. Here’s exactly what leaves it, and when.
How we handle your dataPortion is a calorie counter for iPhone and Apple Watch, with an Android beta. Take a photo of a meal, type what you ate or scan a label, and it estimates calories, protein, carbs and fat in seconds. Insights shows your week, and your weight trend can suggest a better daily target. It works fully in English and Arabic, is free to start, and is made by metwally.ae.
Yes. Portion Free gives you 5 meals by photo and 20 typed meals every day, with a fresh five every morning at 4:00. Portion Pro, for people who want more, comes later.
They’re how Insights makes a habit visible. Log one meal and you earn the day’s coin, with one rest day allowed each week. Weeks that meet your protein and water targets, or that you log in full, count toward copper, silver, gold and pearl badges. A missed week never takes a badge away.
Turn the Digital Crown: each click adds a 500 ml bottle and the water rises. It logs a moment after you stop turning, and turning back first takes it out. You can also tap + 500 ml. On iPhone, water pours into a jug that moves as you tilt your phone.
Close, and honest about it: every estimate shows a range, like “give or take 90”, instead of pretending to be exact. Photos from above with the whole plate in frame work best. You can change any item or add a detail the photo can’t show. And because a suggested target comes from your own weight trend, a steady over- or under-estimate can even out over time.
Just to keep your plan safe. Sign in with Apple or Google, and Portion saves your plan and targets securely to your Portion account so a new phone gets them back. Your meals stay on your phone.
Fluently. The whole app, the Apple Watch and the estimates themselves follow the app’s language, with Arabic written for Saudi Arabia and the Gulf.
Yes, no need to start from zero. Go to Profile → Your data → Import from another app. Portion reads MacroFactor and Cronometer exports. Files are read on your iPhone and never uploaded.
Yes, if you choose to. Join your coach’s group with their code, then your coach sees your sharing name and the last 14 days of calories, protein, carbs, fat, water, targets and whether you logged. Never your meals, photos, weight or measurements. Stop sharing any time in Profile → Coaching, and your shared days are deleted straight away. You keep your own log.
In Profile, choose Pregnancy & breastfeeding and add your due date or your baby’s birthday. Portion adjusts your targets using standard pregnancy and breastfeeding guidance, turns off goals that don’t suit you right now, and stops adjusting your target from your weight while you’re pregnant. Check your targets with your doctor or midwife.
The Android beta is available now for Android 10 or later. Tap the Android button and enter your email here. Firebase will email an installation invitation; open it on your phone and follow the steps with your Google account.
No. Estimates and targets are general guidance and can be wrong. If you’re pregnant, or live with diabetes, an eating disorder or another medical condition, talk to a doctor before changing how you eat.
On the App Store for iPhone and Apple Watch, and in beta on Android. Little and often wins.
